About getting married in Seychelles
Seychelles are members of Commonwealth, signee of Hague Convention of 5th October 1961, therefore legally conducted marriage in Seychelles is recognized and valid all over the world.
WEDDING CEREMONY
The Civil wedding ceremony will be performed by the official Celebrant from our Civil Status Office, in English, French, or Creole language and in accordance with the Seychelles law. The Marriage certificate issued will be in English language and it comes with apostille from the Seychelles Supreme Court.
Some countries may require additional verification, we will obtain all, express-line.
We will confirm the wedding date as soon as the documents are submitted, however the exact time of the ceremony will be given closer to the date, since it solely depends on sea-tides.
Beach weddings are taking place from 10:00-16h, and express in hotel -room weddings are conducted 8:00 to 16:00h, Monday to Friday.
For weddings after working hours (16h), or non-working days Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays, the additional fees apply.
Please note we are just below Equator, the sun rises and sets at almost the same time, 6:15 in the morning and 18:15 in the afternoon. Latest time for the wedding with photographer should be at 16:30h.
The official wedding ceremony is a romantic and relaxed event, with welcoming words, reading the marriage act, repeating wedding vows, exchanging rings and signing Celebrant’s books. An official part lasts no longer than 15 minutes, followed by celebration, and of course – with shower of flower petals!
Two witnesses are required for the wedding ceremony. You are welcome to have your own witnesses, they will need to be 18+ , have an ID, or Passports with them. If you are arriving alone, we will be happy to provide witnesses from our side, it is free of charge.

AFTER THE WEDDING
Our express-line procedures are welcomed by all our couples, especially those leaving Seychelles few days after the wedding.
